LONDON, (CAIS) -- The managing director of Fars province Water Company falsely claimed that based on the outcome of a meeting held in Tehran in January [20], excavations conducted so far in Sivand Dam are sufficient and there is no need for fresh undertakings.
This conflicting statement was indeed issued in contrary to the summit statement on 21st January, which was declared inconclusive.
He further said that the dam aims to supply water demands of the region because the area faces acute water shortage.
